פַּחְלִין

פַּחְלִיןor פֶּחָלִין m. pl. (פחל, cmp. פַּחְדִּין a. Syr. פחלא testiculus, P. Sm. 308 1) ball, bale; פ׳ של גמלים a bale, made of a net of ropes with wide meshes, containing the freight of camels. Kel. XXIV, 9 פוחלץ (corr. acc.). Tosef. ib. B. Mets. VI, 6 הסל והפ׳ של ג׳ … שעשאןוכ׳ a basket or a bale … the meshes of which had originally been made narrow enough to hold pomegranates.
